The « Noble Valley » and its vineyard

Our estate is located in Soultzmatt, a charming village 20 kms (12.5 miles) south from Colmar, in the Noble Valley « Vallis Praenobilis », so called due to the many nobles families living there during the 16th Century. Nested in the « Ballon des Vosges » natural parc’s heart, it is protected from storms by the Petit Ballon and the Grand Ballon (1267 and 1427 meters high). This valley is an arena of 4 kms (2.5 miles) diameters, protected from dominant winds, where we observe updrafts cuddling our hillsides. Our vineyard enjoys an ideal climate, colonized slopes 2 km (1.25 miles) around, up to 450 meters high.
